ABOUT
Light Station is a Light Art Festival held in Pori, Finland. It’s created for gathering people together in the darkest time of the year and for offering new perspectives to see the city. Light art has gotten more popular in the past years and now it is coming to Pori. For five days the festival focuses to the Pori’s former bus station and its surroundings. Light Station brings new, amazing and wondering visual aesthetics to the city. The event is free, accessible and has no age limit.
Veli-Ville Sivén and Sofia Palillo are the founders of the festival and work as artistic directors of the festival. They are both artists working with light as their media. Wilhelmina Sederholm works as a producer of the festival. The festival has been funded by “Rakkaudella porilaisille” -project by the city of Pori.
